Experimental Investigation of Compressor Cascade Wakes

This report discusses a cascade wake experiment intended to improve wake modeling in an airfoil analysis. The experiment included extensive measurements of the near and far wakes, trailing edge boundary layers, and airfoil surface static R. P. Dring pressures. The measured wake displacement surface and computed boundary layers Mem. ASME were used in conjunction with a cascade potential flow solver to demonstrate the feasibility of modeling the viscous aspects of cascadeflow.
