Although the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board sets a clear requirement for a capstone design experience for engineering undergraduates, it is not so clear to engineering educators how to fairly evaluate design projects that often differ greatly in breadth and depth. Compounding the problem is the common situation where different design projects, even within the same course, are evaluated by different markers.
