Synthesis and Spectroscopic Characterization of Blue Copper Model Schiff Base Complexes

Low molecular weight, low symmetric complexes simulating blue copper protein have been prepared by a reaction between salicylidene-4-aminoantipyrinyl-2-imino pyridine and metal salts. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductivity, magnetic susceptibility data, IR, 1 H NMR, UV-Vis, FAB-Mass and EPR spectral studies.
