Research progress on the menstrual disorders leading to depression in adolescent women

Adolescent depression is a common psychological problem and also a high-risk factor for suicide and self-injury. Its symptoms are atypical, hidden, easy to relapse, and with high-incidence in females, so caused the close attention of society. Frequency of dysmenorrhea and menstrual disorders would cause serious negative effects on adolescent women, which can induce a series of mood disorders and behavioural problems such as depression and even suicide.
