Constrained ICA and its application to Raman spectroscopy
2005 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium
In this paper, we present a novel detection method using constrained independent component analysis (c-ICA). We derive constrained version of the Infomax algorithm and show that a decision can be made on the existence of a certain component in a given mixture by defining a suitable measure of closeness. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the method in Raman spectroscopy for detection of surface-deposited chemical agents.
