The multi-methodological approach described in this paper was used to interpret data gathered from a study of the coordination of systems development process. The most challenging part of the research process was the combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, because of the lack of multi-methodological work done in IS discipline so far. The paper calls for more practical guidance for designing and developing these kinds of approaches.
