Metal organic frameworks (MOFs) have attracted tremendous attention in electrochemical energy storage and conversion because of their large surface area, high porosity, ordered structure and the tailorability of the structure. In this paper, the unique advantages of synthesizing electrocatalysts from MOFs are introduced. Then, the latest research progress of MOFs derived electrocatalysts in electrochemical energy conversion is mainly summarized. Finally, the application prospects, opportunities
