The system combines the use of automatic vehicle location in individual vehicles with software that collects these fleet data for a comprehensive picture of vehicle locations. Modern vehicle ABSTRACT This paper deals with the issues of vehicle monitoring and theft control. This system not only tracks the vehicle but also reduces the risk involved in losing the vehicle. In the proposed system AT89S52 microcontroller is used for interfacing the various hardware peripherals. The current design is

A GSM and GPS modem is used to locate the position of the vehicle in terms of latitude and longitude from a remote place and the same data is sent to the mobile at the other end from where the position of the vehicle is demanded. If owner receives unmatched or unusual location then by sending SMS to the vehicle integrated system he can lock/stop the vehicle by remote location using cell phone.
