PERSON-DIRECTED CARE PLANNING: FOUNDATIONS, ELEMENTS, BARRIERS, FACILITATORS, AND OUTCOMES
2016
The gerontologist
Hispanic women suffer severe LTC unmet needs. Unmet LTC needs in earlier life also increases women's financial risks in later life, especially when greater longevity combines with higher disability. Our findings suggest that minorities would need more medical and long-term services and supports from the society, especially when the primary informal caregivers in other households, women, are not able to provide cares to others in minority groups, but rather need cares from others.
