The article describes emotional intelligence of a university lecturer. It is given the definition of the term «emotional intelligence», revealed its origin. The work describes the main emotional intelligence skills: self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, motivation, social skills. The author pays attention to Johari Window technique, which helps people better understand their relationship with themselves and others. The article gives a possibility to get acquainted with a list of questions
