The article analyzes the archival documents Fund of the NAS of Ukraine as a source for the study the main directions of scientific Shevchenko's research in institutions of NAS of Ukraine in years 1956-1965 and preparing scientific papers and editions of Taras Shevchenko for anniversaries - 100th anniversary of his death and the 150th anniversary of Kobzar's birth.
