The study made use of ex post facto research design while STATA 17 analysis software was deployed to analyze time series data for the period 2000-2020. The result of ordinary least squares (OLS) regression analysis of 0.9441 or 94.41% reveals that the tax revenue has a positive but insignificant effect on HDI. It can therefore be deduced that increasing tax revenue has a minimal impact on HDI. This suggests that the tax revenue might not have had direct significant impact on life expectancy, access to education and the people's standard of living.
