In this paper, we consider chaotic sequences as an alternative to other sequences in the literature for the design of radar waveforms in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar. For this aim we here adopt a statistical approach; by considering the codes defining the transmitted waveform as realizations of a random variable we show that a suitable distribution of the random variable can give good codes.
