Effect of Methocell F50 and Methocell K100 on Molding of PVC Air Soles

The study was conducted with the view of improving the lustiness of the PVC air soles. The formu la containing the ingredients; PVC resin, DOP, DBP, R9, Ivamo l, M BR d id not impart the lustiness on the soles. Hence invention was carried out emp loying the Methocell F50 and Methocell K100. Interestingly the use of Methocell F50 gave the expected results unlike with Methocell K100. On the other hand the use of Methocell K100 found to have increased the size of the soles and that was due to probably expanding the microcellular network of the poly meric nature. Due to this Methocell F50 was concluded for the regular manufacturing of the soles with good lustiness.
