in Americus. In 2007, he received his Ph.D. in political science from Florida International University in Miami. Afterwards, he was a postdoctoral teaching fellow for two years at the University of Georgia. His primary teaching and research interests include the U.S. presidency and religion and American politics. His most recent articles appeared in the Americus Times-Recorder and an encyclopedia entitled Presidents and Presidencies in American History.
