128 -'first child, and with a trifling variation, it was precisely analogous to the one recorded above. In looking over my list, I find, in the last seven or eight hundred cases of labour, only one of placenta prsevia, with the exception of this I now communicate. In this case the placenta entirely covered the os uteri; turning was accomplished, and the labour terminated successfully to the mother.
