The first practical equiangular spiral antenna was constructed by J. D. Dyson in 1958. This paper discusses a cavity-backed equiangular antenna system composed of two arms. An equiangular spiral antenna has a wide frequency bandwidth. A cavity transforms a bidirectonal beam to a unidirectional beam.
