Logistics as a factor in shaping the competitiveness of enterprises has already been discussed in numerous publications. Still, however, being a problem with very broad substantive and methodological horizons, according to the authors, it allows for the analysis and formulation of theses that have not yet been scientifically explained. The purpose of this article is to present selected trends in economic research in the development of logistics theory and to systematize the theory underlying the considerations regarding the competitiveness of logistics.
