Since awarenessi is said to be indispensable for language acquisition, many studies have been conducted to examine the effect of instructional interventions on awareness. JapanSociety ofEnglish Language Education intervention and the retention of this knowledge for a set period after intervention is tested. The data then shows the result of learning ,the TWthe process of this learning, however, remains unciear.
