Radiation Induced Chromosomal Interchanges in Brassica campestris L
1973
CYTOLOGIA
Artificial induction of chromosomal interchanges in various crop plants has been widely studied. However, owing to difficulties in obtaining suitable cytologi cal preparations, limited data are available on chromosomal interchanges in Brassica campestris L. cv. Brown Sarson (Kumar 1965, Das and Kumar 1966) . The present paper reports a study of the frequency of chromosomal interchanges induced in self-incompatible and self-compatible strains of cultivar Brown Sarson (2n=20) by gamma rays and thermal neutrons.
