Data-PASS/NDIIPP: A new effort to harvest our history

The preservation of digital content has become a major challenge for society. In December 2000, the United States Congress appropriated funds for a national digital-strategy effort, to be led by the Library of Congress. The Library responded by creating the National Digital Information Infrastructure and Preservation Program (NDIIPP).
