The article gives a general description of the collection of the Altai State Museum of Local Lore on the Turkic-speaking peoples of the Altai Territory. The emphasis is placed on the material exhibits of the museum collection, dating back to the late 19th –20th centuries, the main source of which was formed by the historical and ethnographic expeditions of the museum staff.
