This paper proposes a comparison between the calculated energy consumption with the existing and upgraded calculation procedure. For this purpose, a residential building in Romania was investigated in terms of energy need for space heating, domestic hot water and artificial lighting. This study aims at enhancing the main differences between the two calculation procedures in terms of input data and results.
