This research is a descriptive research which aims to determine students' who learn cursive writing at fisrt grade in primary school, eighth grade primary school students' who have outputs of first read and write program and first grade and second grade high school students' attitudes to cursive handwriting. more » ... ear. In this research criterion sampling method, which is one of the purposive sampling, was used and with this way the students were attached to the research. In the research "attitude scale for cursive writing (BEYTÖ)" which was developed by Erdem, Yılmaz and Bozkurt (2014) was used. For comparison of the students' attitudes according to independent variables, independent t test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were benefited. In the research while the students' attitude points to cursive writing and their using cursive writing at the school and out of the school were indicated, some variables like gender, class levels, students' report success, mother's and father's education background, their teachers' attaching importance to cursive writing, the students' desire to use cursive writing for the next education level etc. were analyzed. According to some of the results, 84,61 percent of the students indicate that they do not use cursive writing at the school and 84,48 percent of these students do not use cursive writing in their daily lifes. One of another interesting results of the research is that students who have low report success have higher attitude points to cursive writing than students who have high report success. This condition is similar to the studies which were done at literature. According to the results of the study, %75,23 of the male students and %87,19 of the female students do not use cursive writing at school.At the same time, when we see the conditions of using cursive writing at daily lifes, we can see that %78,57 of male students and %89,66 of female students do not use cursive writing at their daily lifes.
