Thermal analysis is the analysis of a change in a property of a material, which is related to the temperature difference. Polymer samples are typically in solid form and undergo various thermal transitions upon heating, including melting, phase transition, sublimation, and decomposition. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate how thermal techniques such as DSC and TGA may be used to evaluate polymer thermal stability through the examination of polymer characteristics such as glass

Different polymers have been investigated and used in lead-acid batteries for various applications based on their mechanical and thermal characteristics. Few lead-acid battery-related polymers like Polypropylene (PP), Polyethylene (PE) Separator, Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) and Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) were studied and explained.
