The analysis of the problem of the concept of happiness of the modern personality in the context of social and psychological researches is carried out; the specificity of consideration of different scientific approaches to the psychological study of this problem is determined. The article reveals the phenomenon of love not only as a concept, category, feelings, representations, but as a dominant need, a basic condition, a driving force, which is based on the self-realization of a person, according to which people's perception of happiness is formed. The author notes and insists that happiness is realized through a lifestyle, namely through a way of adaptation and behavior regarding the setting and methods of achieving one's own goals in different spheres of life. In other words, a person becomes happy when such components as work, friendship and love are present in his life, which are the actual driving force of the personality. Accordingly, love is revealed from a completely different side, the motivational component of this phenomenon is revealed, which radically changes scientific views on the problems of considering feelings in the context of the modern personality's concepts of happiness. Love is an inevitable contact between two people, interacting with a partner, there is an exchange of experience, knowledge and skills, different forms of behavior. The author tries to prove that in the process of discovering something new a person has the ability to perceive the world as a whole, to understand the various facets of human existence, to be in harmony with his self. Based on the above, a person begins to become more aware of their needs, opportunities, their talents and abilities, which is an indicator of a happy personality.
