The worldwide opening of markets has led to the world expansion of businesses, in which organizations have to implement different strategies and adopt broadly accepted practices as guidelines, seeking the obtainment of advantages in today's globalized and competitive environment. The results suggest that in addition to contributions to the environment and interest groups to be perceived as socially responsible, companies in this region use CSR strategically and as a method for value creation.
