Анализируются мероприятия центрального аппарата ФПС по организации демаркации, контролю над ее проведением. Особое внимание уделяется реакции руководства ФПС на особую позицию региональных властей Дальневосточного федерального округа по вопросам демаркации российско-китайской границы. Summary: The article studies the policy of the central leadership of the Border Service of the Russian Federation on the demarcation of the eastern section of the Russian-Chinese border in the 1990-s -2010-s based on the documents introduced for scientific use for the first time, recollections of negotiations participants, including from the Federal Border Service. On the basis of a wide range of sources, primarily from the Central Border Archives of the Federal Security Service of Russia, the author discusses the stance of the Far Eastern Border District's leadership on the question of demarcation of the Russian-Chinese border, which differed from the stance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The paper analyses the activities of the central leadership of the Border Guard Service on organization of demarcation, control of its implementation. Special attention is given to response of the Border Guard Service leaders on the specific stance of the regional government of the Far Eastern Federal District on the demarcation of the Russian-Chinese border. The article also deals with the problem of demarcation of the area where the borders of the three states -Russia, China and North Koreajoint. The role of the Border Guard Service in its resolution is considered.
