The main purpose of this study is to present and discuss the results of field observation and numerical simulation of deposition and resuspension of cohesive bottom sediment in a shallow lake. Field data taken in Lake Kasumigaura, such as lake current, wind over the lake, water wave, and turbidity of the lake, are shown. Based on these results, we discuss how sediments were suspended in this lake. We show the model to estimate the bottom shear stress causing sediment resuspension and the
