2D Segment Model for a Bi-Layer Electrolyte Solid Oxide Fuel Cell
2015
Journal of the Electrochemical Society
A 2D segment model for a bi-layer electrolyte solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) is developed by coupling the mass transport in the channel and electrode, electrochemical reaction at the electrode/electrolyte interface and charge transport in the bi-layer electrolyte. The Butler-Volmer equation is used to describe the electrochemical reaction. The expressions of electronic current and oxygen partial pressure in the electrolyte are obtained by the 1D charge transport equation and two additional
