This study aims to identify the training needs of food and beverage service employees in a sample of economic hotels in Greater Cairo. To achieve this aim, a self administrated questionnaire was developed and directed to a random sample of employees in the investigated properties. Results from the field study illustrated that the food service employees need a periodical training programs in various area in food and beverage specially food safety and sanitation, protocol and etiquette of service
