Stress is a fact of life, the simply definition of stress is physical and psychological responses to the pressures of daily life. This paper attempts to define stress in the light of LIS profession. It describes about the types of stress in libraries and its reasons. This paper is also discussed the view of Swami Vivekananda and ancient Indian philosophical concept of managing the stress in a better way.
