This article seeks to analyze three great exponents of European conservative thought, and it's positioning before the French Revolution. Joseph de Maistre (1753-1821), Edmund Burke (1729-1797) and Alexis de Tocqueville (1805-1859). The French Revolution inaugurated a new phase in the history of humanity, raising the banner of Liberty, Equality and Fraternity.
