This study aims to observe the process of Islamic student (santri) identity formation in adolescent of Islamic boarding school (Pesantren) of Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Situbondo East Java. This study used in-depth interviews to collect data from the 4 participants and 6 informants. There are four processes which must be done in a research using qualitative method of phenomenology.
