Prefetch scheduling for composite hypermedia

Composite hypermedia documents are fast becoming ubiquitous in web. In this paper we explore a novel segment-based background prefetch technique that utilizes the rendering properties of various individual media elements and their interdependencies. The technique can play a role in accelerating surfing speed in composite hypermedia.
