Economic Networks-Business Clusters: Necessity and Prospects

In the current paper we firstly analyse the concept of the economic network as one of the aspects of the information network. We then describe the structure and the characteristics of an economic network and we proceed in the comparison of economic networks and business clusters because of the confusion that exists in the relevant literature. Lastly, we review two case studies of business plans in which there is a possibiloity for the development of economic networks that have the possibility to evolve into business clusters in our country.
