The method is development research method. This development research consisted of two phases. The first phase consisted of four steps: 1) collecting the first informations, 2) planning, 3) developing design of the first product, 4) the first try out (validation). While the second phase consisted of three steps: 1) revision of the design, 2) the field try out, 3) revision of the field try out result. The conclusions are 1) the potency and conditions of teaching material students mathematics worksheet for junior high school students in SMPN 4 Tulang Bawang Tengah not to suitably with characteristics and need of students; 2) the product of teaching material students mathematics worksheet for junior high school is suitably with characteristics and need of students; 3) the average scores of formatif test students that learning with teaching material students mathematics worksheet were better comparison with students that learning with parcel book; 4) the product of developing teaching material students mathematics worksheet for junior high school was effective, efisience and has attraction in mathematics learning of junior high school grade VII. Abstrak: Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Lembar Kerja Siswa Matematika Kelas VII SMPN 4 Tulang Bawang Tengah. Tujuan penelitian: 1) mendeskripsikan potensi dan kondisi bahan ajar LKS matematika yang sudah dimanfaatkan pada pembelajaran matematika; 2) menghasilkan bahan ajar LKS matematika SMP yang sesuai dengan karakteristik dan kebutuhan siswa; 3) mengetahui perbedaan nilai rata-rata tes formatif pada siswa yang belajar menggunakan bahan ajar LKS matematika dibanding dengan siswa yang belajar menggunakan buku paket; 4) mendiskripsikan efektifitas, efisiensi dan daya tarik penggunaan bahan ajar LKS matematika SMP dalam pembelajaran. Metode penelitian adalah metode penelitian pengembangan. Penelitian dilakukan dalam dua tahap. Tahap pertama terdiri dari 4 langkah yaitu: 1) pengumpulan informasi data awal, 2) perencanaan, 3) pengembangan desain produk awal, 4) uji coba awal (validasi). Tahap yang kedua terdiri dari 3 langkah yaitu: 5) revisi desain, 6) uji coba lapangan, 7) revisi produk hasil uji coba lapangan. Kesimpulan: 1) potensi dan kondisi bahan ajar buku paket dan LKS yang telah dimanfaatkan pada pembelajaran matematika di SMPN 4 Tulang Bawang Tengah belum sesuai dengan karakteristik dan kebutuhan peserta didik; 2) produk bahan ajar LKS matematika SMP sesuai dengan karakteristik dan kebutuhan peserta didik; 3) nilai rata-rata tes formatif pada siswa yang belajar menggunakan bahan ajar LKS matematika lebih besar dibanding dengan siswa yang belajar menggunakan buku paket; 4) produk pengembangan bahan ajar LKS matematika SMP efektif, efisien dan memiliki daya tarik dalam pembelajaran matematika SMP kelas VII.
