The article considers harmful and dangerous production factors that can affect the health of workers in construction and installation organizations. The analysis of the initial data for an estimation of the industrial risks, which are for workers of the building and assembly organizations, is carried out. It is proved that the choice of the method of assessing production risks is the determining factor in the construction of an effective OSH management system in construction and installation
