Quantitative Hemagglutination Inhibition Studies of Blood Group Substances
1961
Journal of Immunology
A quantitative hemagglutination inhibition technique for the precise determination of the relative effectiveness of the inhibitory strength of substances possessing blood group A activity has been developed. The method was shown to be highly reproducible and valid for blood group A substances from a variety of sources. A reversible equilibrium existing among the components of the system comprised of A substance, group A1 cells and human anti-hog A serum was demonstrated.
