ANALYSIS OF EVACUATION BEHAVIOR CHARACTERISTICS OF RESIDENTS BY INTERGENERATIONAL COMPARISON DURING HEAVY RAIN DISASTERS

In this paper, evacuation behavior characteristics of residents living in the Okada area of Mabicho, Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture were compared between generations (parenting generation and middle-aged / older generation), which was severely damaged during the heavy rain event of July 2018. As a result, parenting generation and middle-aged / elderly people tended to differ in evacuation means, companions at the time of evacuation, and evacuation decision-making.
