The human body was endowed with great honor by the embodiment of God's Son and it can become the dwelling of the Holy Spirit by receiving the Holy Sacraments, the body is washed by Baptism, it is anointed with the Holy Myrrh and it feeds on the very Body and Blood of the Saviour. Cherishing the body is also based on its very important role, that of being the natural organ where the spiritual life of a person becomes manifest in this world, the soul being the main animator and guide of the body.
