The objective of this observation was to obtain growth performance of the F 1 SIMPO kept under the traditional system from birth to 60 days of age. Sixty-two Ongole grade or PO in pregnancy (results from Simmental bull crossed with PO cow) were selected for observation. ... 3.92±4.85 kg, 60.65±4.93 cm, 72.22±3.27 cm, and 72.62±3.68 cm, respectively; and female at birth were 31.48±3.32 kg, 58.52±3.76 cm, 70.56±2.53 cm, and 71.08±3.45 cm, respectively; on male at 60 days of age were 77.50±9.67 kg, 84.23±4.37 cm, 88.00±4.23 cm, and 100.38±4.95 cm; and female were at 60 days of age were 71.08±9.86 kg, 80.68±4.74 cm, 84.68±3.90 cm, and 97.04±5.78 cm. The average daily gain of weight, length, height from birth until 60 days of age, on male and female, were 720.60± 119.50 g/day and 660.00±129.20 g/day, 0.39±0.08 g/day and 0.37± 0.06 g/day, 0.26±0.06 g/day and 0.23±0.06 g/day, 046±007 g/day and 0.43± 0.07 g/day, respectively. A significantly different of sex (P<0.05) was found on body weight and body measurement, except chest circle at birth. But, no significant different of sex (P>0.05) was found on daily gain of body weight and body measurement from birth until 60 days of age. The SIMPO calf from Ongole grade cows of 5 years of age have body weight, body height and chest circle more superior than SIMPO calf from Ongole grade cows of 2, 3, 4, 6, and 7 years of age.
