Recently, the evolution of low-power wide area networks (LPWANs) provides Internet of Things (IoT) with an approach between the short range multi-hop technology and the long-range single-hop cellular network technology. After a brief overview of this technology, we focus on EDs mobility to show how the mobility can be achieved while transmitting data. An appropriate testbed is setup for testing. Experimental results show the mobility delay time for an ED to switch between two gateways (GWs).
