Crystal structure of bis(2-(ammoniomethyl)pyridinium) hexachloromanganate( II) dihydrate, (C6H10N2)2[MnCl6] · 2H2O

C 12H24Cl6MnN4O2, triclinic, P1 (no. 2), a = 7.5534(7) Å, b = 7.7561(7) Å, c = 10.1601(9) Å, a = 89.449(2)°, b = 79.747(2)°, g = 64.713(1)°, V = 528.1 Å 3 , Z = 1, Source of material MnCl 2 · 4H 2 O (0.4908 g, 2.48 mmol) and 2-(aminomethyl)pyridine (0.5368 g, 4.96 mmol) in H2O (10 ml) were added 10 drops of HCl solution (35 %) and stirred for 1 h at room temperature. The solvent was removed in vacuo, the residue washed with acetone and dried, giving a white powder (0.9159 g). Crystals suitable
