2017
Bulletin of Faculty of Science, Zagazig University
This study was done on 143 patients (75 in-patients and 68 out-patients) in Zagazig University Hospitals who were suspected to have urinary tract infections (UTIs). Their ages ranged from 12 to 61years. One hundred and twenty four of urine samples that collected from patients yielded positive culture on MacConkey's agar. The identification of isolates was done by biochemical tests and confirmed by automated Vitek 2 system. The results showed that E. coli was the most causative organisms of UTIs
