A key for genera and checklist of ferns and fern allies of Serranía de La Macarena are presented. There are found 180 species, 58 genera and 17 families in the region. The genera with most species are Asplenium (14), Selaginella (11), Adiantum (10), Thelypteris (9), Elaphoglossum (8) and Polypodium (8).
