The discipline of science interested in questions such as "What is knowledge?", "How does it occur?" is epistemology. When this concept is examined in terms of middle school students, it seems to be important to determine the opinions of these students about the scientific knowledge. These opinions are expressed as scientific epistemological beliefs. The purpose of the current study is to determine middle school 6th and 7th grade students' Scientific Epistemological Beliefs. The sample of the study is comprised of 285 students attending two different middle schools in the city of Muğla. As the data collection tool, the "Scientific Epistemological Beliefs Scale" was used. In the current study, it was investigated whether the middle school 6th and 7th grade students' scientific epistemological beliefs and the sub-dimensions making up the scientific epistemological beliefs vary significantly depending on gender, grade level and the science grade point average in the school report of the first term. The obtained findings have revealed that the scientific epistemological beliefs of the female students are higher than those of the male students and the scientific epistemological beliefs of the 6th grade students are higher than those of the 7th grade students.
