Trypanosoma melophagium is a nonpathogenic trypanosome in sheep. The parasite has a widespread distribution and could be found everywhere along with the keds. Trypanosoma melophagium is a stercorarian species and is transmitted by the sheep ked, Melophagus ovinus. Parazit koyun biti veya bit sineğinin yaygın olduğu her yerde bulunur. Trypanosoma melophagium Melophagus ovinus ile taşınır ve stercorarian bir türdür. Bu çalışma Türkiye'de koyunlarda PKL (perifer kan lenfositleri) ve kan kültürlerinde Trypanosoma melophagium'un ilk tespitidir.
