Using assignments and group writing as means of assessments in EFL writing instructions: Bahir Dar University in focus

This study assessed the instructors' reflections on using writing assignment and group writing as means of providing students with more writing practices and assessing students' performance in the writing course. Fifteen instructors were provided with open-ended items of relevance and feasibility of using the two assessment mechanisms. Only five instructors responded and their reflections are presented.
