Immunotherapy strategies are pursued in patients with Ewingsacoma (ES). For that reason ES-specific antigens have to be identified as targets for cytotoxic T-lymphocytes. Due to the selective expression of cancer/testis antigens (CTA), they are promising targets for immunotherapy. In order to identify new ES-associated CTA, microarray-datasets from ES and normal tissues from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database were analyzed. more » ... -ETS on expression of CTA was analyzed using GEO datasets from transgenic mesenchymal stem cells. One CTA with high specificity for ES is lipase I. CTL specific for lipase I-derived peptides LDYTDAKFV and NLLKHGASL were able to lyse HLA-A2 positive ES-cells in vitro which confirms the possible role of CTA in ES-immunotherapy.
